Online Nursing Bachelor Degree Description: American Sentinel University’s Bachelor of Science degree completion (RN-BSN) program, online nursing bachelor degree, based on the Colorado Nursing Articulation Model, is intended for registered nurses who desire career mobility and professional development. Upon completion of the online nursing bachelor degree program, students will be able to integrate methods of research and scholarship in making and prioritizing diagnoses, and in planning, implementing, and evaluating care of individuals, groups, and communities. They will also be able to assess health and incorporate principles and methods of health promotion and health education in nursing care of individuals, families, groups, and communities. Students of the online nursing bachelor degree will gain a fundamental understanding of the problems of contemporary health and illness and will learn how to directly provide and manage competent care for individuals, families, and groups who have simple to complex health care needs. Student in this online nursing bachelor degree program are required to complete two practica - one emphasizing Community Health and the other emphasizing Leadership and Management. Thirty credits of this program must be completed through American Sentinel University, one of the online nursing schools.
Online Nursing Bachelor Degree Accreditation: Program pending approval from DETC. Students may not enroll in this program until it has been approved.
