Online CPR Certificate - First Step To Saving Lives!

Online CPR Certificate - First Step To Saving Lives! by Lee Addison

The online CPR certificate has become a prerequisite to
employment in many different types of industries. It is
definitely required by those wishing to enter the health or
wellness industries, and in fact much of their training can not
go ahead until students present their teachers with a copy of
their online CPR certificate. Even when not required, being able
to show that you have a current CPR certificate on your CV is a
great bonus when job hunting.

Many people are finding that they are required to present a copy
of their CPR certificate for employment as a professional
rescuer, athletic trainer, airline employee, and of course for
safety personnel, police and the emergency response teams. Being
able to obtain this certificate online has become an invaluable
resource to these industries.

There are many online CPR certificate courses offered which are
suitable for those who are being certified for the first time or
those that are required to obtain recertification. Certificates
generally last for 2 years, at which stage they must be renewed.
The online availability of courses has streamlined this process,
making it far more convenient and cost effective to most people.

The online CPR certificate is also quite often offered as a
complimentary package to an online first aid course. This
naturally is very relevant to first time rounders who will
require both certificates to begin certain training or
employment. Together with this there are blended online CPR
certificates which offer so many hours online training with a
small percentage of class time. Quite often this will also
include bloodborne pathogens as well as AED classes combined.

Unfortunately not all online CPR certificate courses are equal.
Some are not recognized nationally nor are they approved by the
US government. It is important to check the credentials of the
online course to make sure that you will end up with a
certificate that is accepted right throughout the US.

Many people have fallen victim to fancy advertising campaigns,
and the convenience of being able to attend to all the study
online, and then printing the CPR certificate from their own
computer and printer. This is all very well, until you come to
the stage of being required to present your certificate to your
new employer and find that it is rejected by that company as not
meeting the appropriate guidelines. This is not a good situation
to be in.

There are many online CPR certificates that meet the correct
guidelines. This may be through the American Heart Association,
or even the Red Cross. Whichever course you decide to take it is
essential that it is nationally recognized by not only
government agencies, but also schools and hospitals. In case of
failing the test the first time, some courses will charge an
extra $10 to retake the test. Be aware that this is a rip-off.

Fees for obtaining an online CPR certificate vary, but generally
they are in the vicinity of $20 - $30. The higher price does not
necessarily mean that the student is going to receive more
benefits, but both should include the online printing of the
certificate. Organizations who wish to make a group booking
should also be able to negotiate a much lower price.
